An aluminum prop machete used in the production of Sylvester Stallone’s 2008 installment to the ‘First Blood’ series, Rambo. Living a quiet life in Thailand, John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is hired to ferry a group of missionaries into Burma. When they are reported missing, Rambo joins a group of mercenaries to venture into the warzone and retrieve them from captivity. The war hero crafts a new blade as he prepares to delve into the jungle and can be seen wielding the piece through a majority of the film.
Crafted from a single piece of aluminum, this custom prop was made in high detail to give the film a believable aesthetic and features a dull blade with various dents and stains. The hilt is wound with black cord and wrapped over with strands of black grip-tape. At the bottom of the handle is a small black strap for ease of carrying.
This piece shows some light wear from production use but remains in good overall condition.
