An alien slug maquette made for Stuart Orme’s 1994 sci-fi film The Puppet Masters. Based on Robert A. Heinlein’s 1951 novel, the film follows a government task force that must thwart an alien invasion in which humans become extraterrestrial hosts. This maquette is made of resin and features a limbless torso with the alien slug attached to the hosts back. The organic looking ‘slug’ includes translucent components, and extends from the neck to the mid-back. The piece shows some wear due to production use and age, but remains in good condition.
