A Gipsy Danger Ground Crew (Shawn Korson) Costume from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorizes earth, forcing mankind to build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. This costume was worn by Korson when portraying a member of the US Jaeger’s team.

The costume’s elements were customized for production. The jacket is a blue weather proof material that features the Gipsy Danger logo on the front and back. A PPDC (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) patch is affixed to the right shoulder. A tag inside the jacket labels it for Korson. Under the jacket, a purple shirt (size medium) is worn. An extra purple shirt is also included and both are labeled for Korson. On top of that, a brown zip up sweater (size medium) with a guitar and skull motif. The dark green work vest (size medium) is also labeled for Korson. The extra large blue cargo pants (size extra large) have been distressed by production to appear worn. They are also labeled for Korson. A pair of size 8 ½ work boots and a blue baseball cap complete the look. These pieces show some production distress but remain in good condition.
