A model unit clapperboard from the production of John Glen's Bond film Octopussy.

Marked for use by the "SFX Model Unit", the clapperboard is made from black-painted wood and features the text "Eon Prods Ltd - Octopussy" painted in white letters along the top. The names of model effects supervisor Brian Smithies and model photographer Leslie Dear are situated below the title, while "13-1-83" and "Exterior - Day" run along the bottom. Adhesive canvas tape featuring black handwritten text is applied all over the clapperboard. In some fields, the tape is layered thickly, indicating that this clapperboard was reused many times. The lot displays signs of production use, and some of the tape strips have begun to peel on the back. Dimensions: 35 cm x 38 cm x 1.5 cm (13¾" x 15" x½")
