A rare early poster promoting Oasis' debut gig in London at The Water Rats in Kings Cross which took place on 27 January 1994. This example was one of a handful produced by Creation Records and was dry mounted onto board to advertise on the streets.

Believed to be the first example of this poster to come to auction, it displays a black-and-white design of the band's logo. Presented in a black-painted wooden frame, the poster exhibits minor marks and creasing. Dimensions (framed): 82 cm x 57 cm x 1.5 cm (32 1/4" x 22 1/2" x 1/2")

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the personal collection of Tim Abbot. Beginning with selling Northern Soul records during his school days, Abbot has been a prominent figure within the music industry for the last 50 years - most notably as Managing Director of the infamous Creation Records during the period when Oasis dominated the music scene - and has contributed to over 250 million records being sold.
