Myth: Can a marching battalion take down a bridge? Result: Busted!

Reference: In episode "Break Step Bridge," (2004, Ep. 14) Adam built a 60-foot (18 m) by 6-foot (1.8 m) suspension bridge from metal tubing and nylon rope, while Jamie built 12 dummy soldiers out of air-powered actuators and combat boots. In the initial test, the soldiers moved far too slowly due to a disconnected hose. During the second and third tests, the soldiers stomped too hard on the bridge, causing the bridge to collapse from impact without any harmonic vibration.

Inventory Description: This lot consists of one blueprint drawn by Jamie Hyneman and signed by Adam Savage and Kari Byron with one MythBusters Team signed poster print. Blueprint exhibits some small rips on the edges, but remains in good condition.

For certain lots in the auction, including this one, a single photo has been used to represent the signed poster in multiple different auction lots that are extremely similar. The poster in this lot is nearly identical to the one pictured, though it may have minor differences in wear to the one photographed. All specific lots are available for in-person viewing at Propstore's offices by appointment.
