Sidney Wang's (Peter Sellers) screen-matched robe from Robert Moore's comedy mystery Murder by Death. Wang wore his coat at the dinner party hosted by Lionel Twain (Truman Capote). It matches the one seen on screen through the pattern orientation, most noticeably around the collar. The ornate red robe is decorated with stitched golden dragons and Chinese-inspired patterns. The robe is fastened across the chest with metal poppers and a hook-and-eye fastening around the collar. A Western Costumes inventory barcode is present inside the robe, as well as faded stamps and "WCL Size 42 #3" handwritten in black pen. The robe has some wear from production use and age, most notably on the collar and the left shoulder, where the fabric has stretched and come loose, damaging the pattern.
