An over-sized Seahorse puppet from Henry Selick’s 2001 dark comedy Monkeybone. In the film, cartoonist Stu Miley (Brendan Fraser) finds himself trapped in the dream world of his coma after an auto accident, and must outsmart his own cartoon creation in order to return to his body in the real world. An over-sized seahorse can be seen when Stu races to stop Monkeybone from using his Exit Pass to escape Down Town. This large seahorse puppet consists of a stretchy fabric over a plastic inner structure. The fabric features hundreds of sparkling sequins adhered to the surface, making the piece shimmer as it moves through light. The head includes large plastic eyes, and has a large bit harness protruding from its mouth, which allowed an actor to puppeteer the creature in the film. This piece shows some wear due to production use and age, but remains in fine used condition. Dimensions: 53" x 33" x30" (133 cm x 83 cm x 75 cm)
