This is a flying saucer used in the 2002 Will Smith sci-fi comedy Men in Black II. This piece can be seen in the very beginning of the film during the "Mysteries in History" segment when the leaders of the planet Zartha are shown escaping their planet in this ship for a reenactment. The saucer is made of plastic with a Styrofoam interior and a wide disc shape center which continues to two rounded points at the top and bottom. The silver painted saucer features a small antennae at top as well as three thin wires connected to the outside of the center disc shape which were utilized in the film for the intentionally crude effect of giving the ship flight. This piece measures approximately 24” x 24” x 14” (61cm x 61cm x 36cm). This piece is very fragile and has some small finger marks on the paint finish from use, but can be easily retouched. This saucer remains in overall good condition.
