Big Cop's (Bernie Ledger) SFX broken arm rig from the Wachowskis' sci-fi action film The Matrix. Trinity (Carrie-Ann Moss) viciously broke the arm of a police officer who attempted to handcuff her in the Matrix.

Created for the SFX insert of the arm breaking, this rig consists of a hard rubber hand-painted peach mounted to a foam rubber arm molded around a metal armature inlay dressed with a white Spandex sleeve. The arm is affixed with a contoured, swiveling plastic shoulder rig with black nylon straps alternately labeled "A" and "B" which raise and lower the hand independently from the arm. The rig exhibits aging to the foam rubber elements, tears in the sleeve, and frayed nylon from production use. Dimensions: 26" x 20" x 8" (66 cm x 51 cm x 20.5 cm)
