An EMU helmet pressure feed valve from Ridley Scott’s 2015 sci-fi survival film The Martian.

Mark Watney (Matt Damon), Melissa Lewis (Jessica Chastain) and the rest of the team wore their white EMU spacesuits at various points when making spacewalks. This valve and others like it were made to be fitted at the left base of their white EMU helmets, and one can be seen on the helmet Lewis wears when preparing to leave the ship to rescue Watney. It is made from resin and painted white and silver with a circular groove at the centre where a red bolt, which can be seen on screen, would have been fitted.

The valve exhibits cracks in the paintwork and marks from production use. Otherwise, it remains in an overall good condition.
