”Danger Will Robinson!”
A claw from Will Robinson’s (Jack Johnson/Jared Harris) robot in Stephen Hopkin’s 1998 sci-fi adventure Lost in Space.

Earth is on the brink of destruction from pollution and over population, the Robinson family go into space to find a way to save humanity. The mission goes horribly wrong, and they find themselves lost.

This robot claw belonged to the machine that Will Robinson builds during the film and can be most clearly seen during the climax of the film, when John (William Hurt) and Don (Matt LeBlanc) travel into the future and meet the older Will, under the tutelage of the villainous Dr. Smith (Gary Oldman). The robot is used by Smith to keep the two at bay.

This claw is from the robot’s right arm and features three elongated ‘fingers’, each with their own additional function, including what appears to be a Bunsen burner on one of the fingers. The claw has been intentionally distressed to look well used and worn, with added rust and grime covering the piece. The claw comes in a custom-made display, along with a book on the making of the film. Inside there is a section about the robots in the film and the claw can be seen once again.

The piece has some wear from production use, including scuffs and scratches, as well as the intentional distress. Despite this it remains in an excellent, production-used condition.
