A US Cavalry Trooper Uniform from the Steven Spielberg historical drama Lincoln. The film recounts President Abraham Lincoln’s (Daniel Day-Lewis) efforts to abolish slavery in the United States towards the end of the Civil War. The costume consists of a dark beige pullover shirt constructed of thick flannel with ties at the cuff and a chest pocket. Inside the shirt is a manufacturer tag from Hero Collection, however no sizes are marked.
The mid length jacket is made of navy blue heavy wool, beige cotton lining with yellow and blue buttoned collar. It is single breasted with worn gold buttons that have a decorate eagle symbol on them, on both arms there are three yellow triangular stripes which have been sewn on. Inside the tag has the number W56 number, no other is sizes are stated. A tag inside the right breast also states that is was made by Hero Collection. The mint green and yellow wool trousers has two front pockets and are fastened with black buttons, the back has an adjustable strap with a buckle. The tag inside has handwritten 4 and the inside seem writes 40/32 but no sizes are specified.

Along with this fantastically detailed outfit is a faux leather dark brown gun holster with metal buckles and attached case. There is a dark brown faux leather belt with a metal buckle and harness attached, which was perhaps used for the actor when riding the horse. With this there are dark brown knee high boots (with some scrawl inside), a blue and yellow officer hat with the famous cross swords symbol at the front, again no sizes are given.
This costume exhibits some wear due to production use, however it remains in overall good worn condition.
