A set of production paperwork from Ridley Scott’s 2005 crusader epic Kingdom of Heaven.

The set includes a script written by William Monahan and dated 09.12.03. It comprises 123 pages of hole-punched A4 paper bound by metal clips.

Also included are 79 pages of printed storyboards which are appended to five memos from the film’s first assistant director Adam Somner. There are, on average, four storyboards per page, and adjacent to each are handwritten scene notes.

The set also includes two revised plans for the city of Jerusalem by the film’s production designer Arthur Max. A 28,000 square meter replica of the city was constructed by the production team in Morocco. Also included is a plastic binder containing several printed colour images of contemporary costume, shield and flag designs, appended to some of which are swatches.

The lot exhibits minor creasing but remains in very good condition.
