A wooden Saxon 'bellybow' from Antoine Fuqua’s 2004 action adventure film King Arthur.

Saxon warriors operated the bow by resting it against their stomachs, hence the name. This and similar bows can be seen throughout the film being used by the Saxon army who are relentlessly pursuing King Arthur and his band. This bellybow is made from wood with a plastic leather bound front bow section and a metal firing mechanism. The crossbow shows minimal wear from production use with scuff marks and light damage to the wood, it remains in an otherwise very good condition.

Materials: Wood, Ferrous Metals, Man-Made Woven Fibres, Artificial Leather.
