A Saxon warrior shield used in the production of the historical drama King Arthur. A retelling of Arthurian legend, the story charts the life and travails of Arturius Castus (Clive Owen), commander of a brave band of warriors as they fight to protect the Britons left behind during the Roman withdrawal from Britannia from the rampaging Saxons.
The shield was used by a member of the Saxon army as they rampaged south, chasing Arturius and his men until their final defeat on the field of battle. Made from fibreglass, the shield is painted green and yellow with a faux-silver vacuum formed plastic boss attached at the centre. The piece is carried using a brown leather strap secured at the rear. The piece is intentionally distressed, with plenty of grime and wear applied to make it look hard-used on the battlefield.

Distressed for use with some additional wear from the battle sequences and time spent in storage, the shield remains in good production-used condition.
