A Tyrannosaurus rex fingernail made for paint testing during the production of Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park. Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) protected Lex (Ariana Richards) and her younger brother Tim (Joseph Mazzello) from an escaped T-Rex.

This fingernail was created by key artist Rob Hinderstein at Stan Winston Studio to determine the final look of the animatronic dinosaur's massive claws. It is made from ornately detailed cast resin, painted brown and black with gray highlights, and labeled "Paint Test" on its underside. The nail exhibits some scuffing and minor paint chipping from age and handling. Dimensions: 4.25" x 2.5" x 3" (11 cm x 6.5 cm x 7.75 cm)
