A scarce Japanese Tatekan poster (STB) for the James Bond spy parody film Casino Royale (1967). This elongated portrait format features country-unique artwork with six colour photographic inserts running down the poster's length. Robert McGinnis' iconic psychedelic, colourful painted lady design used in most of the film's marketing is also incorporated. Although not official Bond canon, it is a title that attracts strong interest amongst collectors. Rarely seen offered in the market (this is the first time we have featured one), this unrestored example was printed in two sections (designed to overlap) and displays very well.

Provenance: The Carter-Jones Collection represents one of the world's finest and most comprehensive James Bond poster collections acquired over a 50-year period by Adam Carter-Jones, who was inspired to start collecting by his father, Duncan. It includes material from across the globe, including some once-in-a-lifetime pieces, and spans the entire Bond canon.
