A robotic body part from Alex Proyas' 2004 big-screen adaptation of Isaac Asimov's classic sci-fi short story collection I, Robot.
In a future where robots work to serve humanity and cannot harm people, Detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) investigates a murder where a robot is the chief suspect.
This body part and others like it were made for the scene in which Detective Spooner arrived at the towers of shipping containers to find newer robots destroying the older models. Debris, such as this body part, was strewn across the ground after the fighting.
The piece consists of an acrylic shell over a wooden centre piece that is painted black and blue. It has been intentionally distressed to appear damaged. Several cracks are visible around the neck and waist, and some scratching is evident across the piece. Despite this wear, it remains in a good production-used condition.
Materials: Acrylic, Wood.
