Virginia's (Ellen Greene) Scissors and Blood Appliance from the first season of the science fiction series, Heroes. In the episode “The Hard Part,” Sylar (Zachary Quinto) accidentally kills his adoptive mother Virginia during a struggle with a pair of scissors. These scissors are made with foam which fills a thin shell made from resin. The end of the scissors where the blades are cut is painted with black paint, along with a small bit of stage blood. Paired with this piece is Virginia's stab wound appliance which is made from foam latex. The appliance is flesh colored and has been textured with stage blood. The foam latex rests on top of a fiberglass base with an adhesive bottom, and includes a thin, square metal rod that protrudes through the latex appliance and fits into the scissors. Inserted between the appliance and the base is a tube in which stage blood was pumped to flow through the appliance.
The scissors and appliance both have slight wear from production use and storage, but remain in overall good condition.
