A rotting zombie head made for the production of Rob Minkoff's The Haunted Mansion. In the film, two real estate agents and their children find themselves navigating through a mansion inhabited by numerous ghosts.
The piece was made for the scene in which Jim (Eddie Murphy) and his kids search for a key and awaken the undead in a mausoleum on the property. Produced by Rick Baker's infamous Cinovation Studio, the head is made of resin that has been painted in great detail throughout to appear decayed and discolored. Sections of melted plastic and latex have been added to the skull to approximate flesh and muscle deteriorating over time. A faded magenta-colored wig is adhered to the top of the head.
This piece is displayed on a metal rod fixed to a wooden base and shows minor wear from age and production use, but it remains overall excellent condition.
