A pair of mechanical dexterous gorilla hands from Hugh Hudson's drama Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. These hands were created for use in the film by actors portraying gorillas and feature metal and plastic fingers attached to a fiberglass mold that would fit like a glove around an actor?s hand. One glove has the name "Nac Wilson" while the other reads "Peter Elliott". The mechanical fingers may be manipulated with the natural movement of a human hand. Rubber bands and strings are present on the fingers to assist in movement. The rubber bands have become brittle with age and many of them have broken but the mechanical hands remain in otherwise good condition. Dimensions (each): 11" x 4" x 2" (28 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm)
