Baby chimp "Lucy" from Hugh Hudson's novel adaptation Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes.
The death of baby chimp Lucy served as the impulse behind the chimps adopting the baby Tarzan. The incredibly detailed and lifelike infant was created by Rick Baker and his effects team, creators of creatures and effects for such films as American Werewolf in London, Star Wars, Batman Forever and Planet of the Apes.
Made from foam latex, the baby is brown with a body of dark brown faux fur and realistic glass eyes. She is fully detailed and in perfect proportion, with wrinkled hands and feet and even a belly button. The piece displays signs of age, including firming of the foam latex, some slight flaking on the sides, and her head (which is attached separately) having become slightly loose.
