A Wolf Mask from the 2011 survival thriller, The Grey. In the film, a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness leads survivor Ottway (Liam Neeson) on a mission to protect his few fellow survivors from a pack of ravenous wolves and lead them back to safety. This wolf head was made as a mask for a creature performer to wear while portraying a wolf on screen. The head is made of sewn genuine wolf hair over a grouping of plastic and fiberglass helmet pieces made to secure to the actor’s head. The creature’s face features foam with hair punched and glued into place. Acrylic eyes and teeth along with a silicone tongue complete the viscous visage. The neck portion of the piece features to small eye holes as well as a mesh fabric piece covering the mouth and nose. A removable fiberglass head cast is included to help the piece keep its original shape. This mask remains in great, production used condition.
