A screen-matched cable-controlled SFX melting Brain Gremlin puppet from Joe Dante's Gremlins 2: The New Batch. The Brain Gremlin donned human clothes and learned to speak after it consumed Dr. Catheter's (Christopher Lee) brain hormone. Details in this puppet's left ear, including cuts and patterns, screen-match to insert shots of the Brain Gremlin being electrocuted and starting to melt in the film's finale.

Created by Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios, this puppet is constructed of foam latex molded around polyfoam with a mesh lining, metal armature, and acrylic eyes. The puppet is hand-painted brown with black spots and green oozing pustules on its back where embryos were forming from the Gremlins having been sprayed with a fire hose just prior to electrocution. It has wire and rubber cables for servo-control that extend outside the body through the back and are attached to metal and plastic control sticks. This puppet comes mounted to a wood and metal base for stability, and has gone through extensive sympathetic repairs to the foam and latex. This lot exhibits cracked latex and exposed foam, which has become fragile with age, and should be handled with care. Dimensions: 27" x 17" x 15" (68.5 cm x 43.25 cm x 38 cm)
