A lot of four mechanical dexterous gorilla hands from Michael Apted?s biopic Gorillas in the Mist. These hands were created for use in the film by actors portraying gorillas but were never skinned or used. They feature metal fingers attached to a fiberglass mold that would fit like a glove around an actor?s hand. The mechanical fingers may be manipulated with the natural movement of a human hand. The rubber bands have become brittle with age and many of them have broken but the mechanical hands remain in otherwise good condition. Dimensions (each): 9.5" x 5" x 1" (24 cm x 13 cm x 3 cm)
