A servo-operated Simba underskull mount from Michael Apted's Gorillas in the Mist. This underskull features servos that would have powered fine facial movements at the brow, eyes and jaw of the ape being portrayed. All wiring is fed out of the underskull in a black tubing that would have connected the servos to the puppetry controls. While the electronics are untested, the jaw can be manually open and closed and the brow can similarly be manually raised and lowered. This underskull features lifelike resin teeth detailed with imperfections and stained to appear natural. Dimensions: 15" x 15" x 15" (38 cm x 38 cm x 38 cm)
