An animatronic rogue gorilla mask from Michael Apted's biopic Gorillas in the Mist. Dian Fossey (Sigourney Weaver) studied gorillas in the Congo, one of which chased her in an early sequence.

Created by special makeup effects artist Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios, this mask consists of an inner fiberglass skull cap with attached mechanical servos and a foam latex face painted to appear lifelike with acrylic eyes, resin teeth, a foam latex tongue, hand-punched fur, and buttons for attaching it to a hair suit. A wire runs out of the back with a switch and plug. The mask is presented on a foam head mounted on a metal rod to a plywood board. The lot exhibits some wear from use and age, including dried and cracked foam latex. Dimensions: 19" x 16" x 19" (48.5 cm x 40.75 cm x 48.5 cm)
