A Roman infantry sword and sheath from Ridley Scott's historical epic Gladiator. The Roman infantry led by General Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe) wielded their swords in battle against the Germanic tribes.

This lot consists of a sword with a lightweight metal blade inset into a brown wooden hilt with a ridged grip and a rounded pommel, as well as a red tape-wrapped wooden sheath with brown leather clip-on straps and a metal guard.

The blade exhibits dulling by production, the pommel is slashed, and the tip of the sheath is peeling from use. Dimensions (sheathed): 76.25 cm x 9 cm x 7.75 cm (30" x 3.5" x 3")
