Maximus' (Russell Crowe) arena epaulette from Ridley Scott's Oscar®-winning historical epic Gladiator. Maximus wore epaulettes on both shoulders during the climactic duel against Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) in the Colosseum.

The epaulette comprises five overlapping fibreglass strips, varying in lengths and forming a curved shape. Each strip is black with a silver-coloured outline and decorative rivet detailing, and is lined with black leather. Two metal loop fastenings are attached to the lining at each end of the longest strip. The epaulette is presented on a custom-made display. Dimensions (displayed): 33 cm x 21 cm x 34 cm (13" x 8 1/4" x 13 1/4")
