Maximus' (Russell Crowe) general helmet from Ridley Scott's Oscar®-winning historical epic Gladiator. Maximus wore his helmet while leading the Roman legions against the barbarian tribes of Germania during the opening battle.

The helmet is made of fibreglass with embedded metal powder, giving the impression it is constructed from gold-coloured metal, and is lined with padded light brown leather. A grey-painted wolf's head emblem with surrounding filigree-style patterns decorates the front, and the sides of the helmet display moveable cheek guards, which tie together via a piece of attached brown leather cord. A fin featuring a brown synthetic-hair plume runs along the top towards a neck guard incorporated into the helmet's rear. The helmet comes presented on a custom-made display. Some of the interior leather has begun to peel away in places. Dimensions (displayed): 36 cm x 20 cm x 53 cm (14 1/4" x 8" x 20 3/4")
