A Praetorian standard from Ridley Scott's historical epic Gladiator. Praetorian soldiers carried standards when Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris) greeted Maximus (Russell Crowe) after the opening battle and when Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) returned to Rome as Emperor.

Designed by material sourcing company Rangarsons, this purple cotton and canvas standard is emblazoned "Praetoria VIII" above an olive branch garland in gold-colour thread. It is attached to a wooden staff. The standard is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from RareProps. Dimensions: 283 cm x 72 cm x 8 cm (111.5" x 28.25" x 3.25")
