A Zucchabar arena gladiator helmet from Ridley Scott's Oscar-winning historical epic Gladiator. Gladiators wore their helmets and armour in the arena at Zucchabar during Maximus' (Russell Crowe) first fight, and this helmet was worn by a warrior who fought Maximus' ally Hagen (Ralf Moeller). The helmet is made of fibreglass finished in silver paint to replicate metal, with added intentional distressing to create a battle-worn appearance. It features protective cheek and nose guards, and a neck guard is also attached to the back. Pieces of foam padding are adhered to the interior for comfort purposes. There are visible glue remnants, and some foam has come away over time. Dimensions: 33 cm x 16 cm x 29 cm (13" x 6.25" x 11.5")
