A framed newspaper display from Ivan Reitman's 1989 comedy fantasy sequel, Ghostbusters II. Set five years after the original film, the discovery of a massive river of ectoplasm and a resurgence of spectral activity allows the staff of Ghostbusters to revive the business. This newspaper was made for production, but ultimately not seen in the final film.
This is a New York Post newspaper, with the red banner "Sports Final." The headline reads, "THEY'RE BACK!" in large letters with "GHOSTBUSTERS SAVE JUDGE" in a smaller font below. A large image of Dr. Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Dr. Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) celebrating their removal of several ghosts while they were on trial. The scene where this image comes from is roughly one third into the film.
This item comes framed in a black picture frame, and has some slight wear from age and storage, including a few minor scratches in the black finish, but remains in overall very good condition.
