This item is a stunt HK416 rifle created for the 2009 production of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. This is the stunt version of the gun Captain Duke Hauser (Channing Tatum) uses during the beginning of the film as he and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) are ambushed by the Baroness while delivering warheads for the US Army. This shoulder-fired, compact 5.56x45mm NATO-caliber assault rifle is made out of rubber and features a pistol grip, and picatinny rail with Trijicon Tactical TriPower style sights. The Heckler & Koch serial number and manufacturer’s details are clearly visible; engraved on the back right just above the Magazine. This item measures approximately 27” (69cm) in length and is in very good condition.

*"Stunt" weapons such as this are used for distance shots where a hero piece is not needed, and the lack of detail will not be picked up by the camera. They are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences where the actor could possibly fall on the prop and injure themselves if they were holding the hero version.
