A Meanwhile City Cleric's complete costume used in the dystopian sci-fi thriller Franklyn. Caught between London and the religious dystopia of Meanwhile City, the lives of four strangers become inexorably intertwined as they each search for retribution.
The Ministry Clerics can be seen wearing this style of costume during the scenes that follow the masked vigilante detective John Preest (Ryan Phillipe) in the feverously religious alternate reality known as Meanwhile City. These sinister costumes consisted of a custom made black trench coat (size 38) with pleated skirts, epaulettes and the Cleric’s number on either side of the collar (8DS N2) and large ornate metal buttons, a pair of tight fitting black trousers (size 38”), black leather belt, black leather gloves, black leather ankle boots (UK size 11) and a pair of black leather gaitors (size XL). Also included is a pair of black sunglasses, a tall black top hat (size 23 / 7 1/4 ) and a black and silver Ministry badge attached to the chest with Velcro.

Majority of the components of the costume display signs of production use such as the sunglasses displaying some of the white metallic makeup seen covering all the Cleric’s faces and various marks on different items. However, in spite of this wear, the costume remains in very good production-used condition.
