A screen-matched Lipstick Beauty Salon sign from John Waters' Female Trouble. Dawn Davenport (Divine) frequented the Lipstick Beauty Salon, whose owners, Donald (David Lochary) and Donna Dasher (Mary Vivian Pearce), seduced Dawn into a life of beautiful crime. Distinctive welds and shaping from metal work on this sign screen-match to shots throughout the film.

Waters' fourth film - a landmark in independent cinema and a continuation of the director's long-standing collaboration with star Divine - was production designed by Vincent Peranio. The movie's unique aesthetic has been repeatedly praised, earning it a spot in the Criterion Collection in 2018.

This purple and green metal sign reading "Lipstick Beauty Salon" in curly cursive lettering was previously exhibited in the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures' "John Waters: Pope of Trash" exhibition. It exhibits signs of age, including some wear throughout the finish. Dimensions: 141 cm x 81.5 cm x 4.5 cm (55.5" x 32" x 1.75")
