Tool’s (Mickey Rourke) hero guitar used in the production of Sylvester Stallone's 2010 action / adventure feature, The Expendables. Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), and his crew of hardened mercenaries, known as The Expendables, face overwhelming odds as they take on a ruthless dictator and rogue C.I.A. operative. This guitar can be seen as Ross seeks council with his friend, Tool, who claims to be painting the instrument with the intention to destroy it after.
Painted by New Orleans 'Photorealist' artist, Lory Lockwood, this guitar has a partially completed look with a floral design painted on the left side and pencil outlines remaining on the right side of the instrument. The strings have been removed and several dialogue notes have been highlighted and taped to the face of the guitar. This item also includes a water-resistant carrying case which is foam padded and features a front pocket that bears an embroidered Luna logo. The case is closed via a two-way zipper and a pair of handles for easy carrying is stitched to the items side. A handwritten note reading, "Half Painted w/Script Notes" has been slipped into the net pocket.
This item shows little wear from production and remains in good condition.
