A Decapitated Male Head made for the 2004 horror prequel, Exorcist: The Beginning. In the film, a young Father Merrin (Stellan Skarsgård) encounters the demon Pazuzu while working on an archeological dig in East Africa. This decapitated was created by special effects artisan Gary Tunnicliffe for use in the film's opening, however it ultimately was not seen in the final cut of the film.
Bearing the likeness of Tunnicliffe, this incredibly detailed head is made from silicone and features hand-punched brown hair on the scalp and brows. The head displays a face that is locked in a painful grimace with a gaping mouth complete with resin teeth. The neck has been crudely severed and has been textured by production to appear bloodied and gory.
This item features minor wear from production use and has a slight break in the silicone in the flesh at the back of the neck, however it remains in otherwise very good production made condition.
