Jon Krakauer’s (Michael Kelly) notebook from the Working Title adventure biopic Everest. Krakauer uses his notebook throughout the film, most notably when the team gathers in the mess tent to play cards and discuss their reasons for climbing the mountain.

The black-bound Moleskine notebook is filled with lined paper and features a black elastic fastening. The front displays a brown strip of tape with “J. Krakauer – Nepal 96-” handwritten in black. Inside features black handwritten notes about Krakauer’s experiences whilst climbing and a paperclip holding newspaper articles. The outside of the notebook shows some minor signs of production-use including marks on the back and front however it remains in very good condition and measures: 14 cm x 9.5 cm x 1.5 cm (5 ½” x 3 ½” x ½”)
