A Europa One shield patch from Sebastian Cordero's 2013 found footage thriller, Europa Report. The film follows six international astronauts on a privately funded mission to Jupiter's moon, Europa, in hopes of finding signs of life. This style of patch was created for the film to be attached to clothing and equipment on board Europa One. However, this piece was a spare and therefore unused in production.
This blue and white, shield-shaped patch features the Europa One vessel with the shuttle's name above and below the image. The maroon border features the Latin saying â€œPost Tenebras Luxâ€ (Light After Darkness) as well as the last names of all six of the Europa crewmembers. Unlike versions seen earlier in the film, patches like this are used later in the film to show the ware the clothes have acquired after three years in space. This piece measures 4â€x3â€ (10cm x 8cm) and is in great condition.
