A Prototype Flash Suit Helmet designed for Gavin Hood’s 2012 Sci-Fi adaption Ender’s Game. In the film, Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) is recruited to lead the International Fleet against the alien Formic race. The prop was made as a proof of concept for the Flash Suit helmets used by the launchies in the Battle Room scenes but was not used in the final version of the film.

The lot includes a helmet and a blue Vega soft cloth carrying bag. The helmet is made of resin and painted yellow with acrylic. The helmet separates into three different pieces; cap, visor, and jaw. The cap features an inner foam lining for the back and top of the head. The carrying bag has two production tags attached that read “prototype” and “pack with Flash Suits.” The item shows wear consistent with production use including fraying on the bottom and jawline of the foam lining. The piece measures 10” x 4” x 9” (25 cm x 10 cm x 23 cm) and other than the noted damage, remains in good condition.
