Vermithrax Pejorative dragon concept art prints from Matthew Robbins and Hal Barwood’s fantasy film Dragonslayer. The young apprentice, Galen, was sent to slay the terrifying dragon Vermithrax Pejorative. Phil Tippett is credited as a Dragon Supervisor on the ILM visual effects team that worked on the film. The combination of new go-motion technology, extravagant large-scale puppets and a beloved design led to Vermithrax Pejorative being considered one of the best, if not the best, dragons of all time. The dragon concepts in this lot were originally created by David Bunnett who did the titles and graphics for the film. Tippett was nominated for Best Visual Effects for his work on this film at the 54th Academy Awards^®.

These prints include seven pages of concept art and one page of a Galen (Peter MacNicol) puppet design print. Two pages feature hand-drawn armature designs on the backside in black ink.

The pages have sustained stains, folds, tears and some still have tape from production leaving the lot in overall fair condition. Dimensions” 11” x 8 ½” (28 cm x 20.5 cm)
