A production used storyboard used in Matthew Robbins' Disney fantasy movie Dragonslayer. Trusted with a magical amulet by his former master, wizard's apprentice Galen Bradwarden (Peter MacNicol) is sent to kill the ancient dragon Vermithrax, not realising that an adventure beyond his wildest imagination awaits him.
This printed storyboard depicts Galen's amulet pulsing signalling the arrival of Vermithrax who ominously swoops around the mountain peak where Ulrich (Ralph Richardson) awaits. Printed on white A4 paper, the page is marked as scene 'I33', page number '90' and is dated June 2nd, 1980 and features two images with brief descriptions underneath. The page has been hole punched on the left hand side, where it was grouped in a sequence, forming a comprehensive shot-by-shot version of the film's special effects. Each sheet has 'Copyright 1980 Paramount Pictures Corporation and Walt Disney Productions' and a 'Dragonslayer' logo printed on the bottom of the page. The storyboard has been custom framed with a laser cut mount board featuring the iconic movie title. The display measures 39.5 cm x 30 cm (151/2" x 12").
