This lot will be sold on Wednesday August 26th (day 1 of the auction.) Lots 1-433 will be sold on day 1 (lots 434-870 will be sold on day 2). The auction will begin at 10:00AM PDT. A Vermithrax Pejorative dragon scale from Matthew Robbins and Hal Barwood's fantasy film Dragonslayer. The young apprentice, Galen (Peter MacNicol), was sent to slay Vermithrax Pejorative using an enchanted spear and a shield made from the dragon's own scales. This lot comes from the film's Dragon Supervisor, Phil Tippett, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the film, including the construction of several dragon puppets.

This hand-painted and weathered brown fiberglass scale is in good overall condition with torn edges from where it was separated from a larger prop. Includes a letter of authenticity from Phil Tippett.
