Meeting notes, printed memos and storyboards from Matthew Robbins and Hal Barwood’s fantasy film Dragonslayer. Dragonslayer was a joint effort between Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Productions with visual effects by ILM. Phil Tippett is credited as a Dragon Supervisor on the ILM visual effects team that worked on the film. Vermithrax Pejorative is considered one of the best, if not the best, dragons of all time.Tippett was nominated for Best Visual Effects for his work on this film at the 54th Academy Awards^®.

This is a set of two pages of ILM meeting notes, three ILM memos, a print of a humorous ‘ILM Times’ cover, two pages of flight information for Phil, three printed handwritten production notes, a ‘NO TOUR ZONE’ printed sign, three stapled pages of ‘muppet head’ notes, ten stapled pages of meeting notes from Paramount British Pictures Limited, six pages of storyboard prints, and one magazine page with printed art and an excerpt from a fantasy story. The ‘muppet head’ notes feature hand-drawn designs in black ink on the back of page two. Two pages of storyboards have handwritten dates in red ink, one is also noted as removed. The Paramount meeting notes are marked ‘P. Tippett’ in black ink on the top right hand corner of the front page. The magazine page features art by David Bunnett who went on to do several script illustrations used to help sell the film and early concept art for Vermithrax Pejorative.
