This lot will be auctioned on Saturday, November 5th. A melted Dalek from the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. Destroyed Daleks were seen in the Series 7 premiere "Asylum of the Daleks". While being chased by a horde of Daleks, The Doctor (Matt Smith) used his sonic screwdriver to hack an idle Dalek and send it careening backwards into his pursuers, causing a massive explosion that left melted Daleks in its wake.

The melted Dalek is made of fibreglass, resin, medium-density fibreboard and expanding foam. It is textured and painted to look like melted metal and plastic. The Dalek shows paint wear and damage from its time spent in previous storage facilities. Dimensions: 95 cm x 110 cm x 100 cm (38" x 43" x 39")

A percentage of the final hammer price of this lot will benefit BBC Children in Need (charity number 802052 in England & Wales and SC039557 in Scotland.) BBC Children in Need, Pudsey Bear and Blush are trade marks of the BBC and are used under licence.
