This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, November 3rd. The 12th Doctor's (Peter Capaldi) coat from the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who. The Doctor wore two different styles of his navy blue Crombie-style quarter-length coat during series 8 and series 9, as well as in promotional photographs. This style of Crombie was designed in series 8, under the supervision of costume designer Howard Burden, and features a three-button closure, five cuff buttons and a red and blue silk lining. The coat was bespoke-made and tailored for Capaldi in the role and has no size labelling.

A percentage of the final hammer price of this lot will benefit BBC Children in Need (charity number 802052 in England & Wales and SC039557 in Scotland.) BBC Children in Need, Pudsey Bear and Blush are trade marks of the BBC and are used under licence.
