A script used in the production of Julian Schnabel's The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. The biographical film tells the story of Jean-Dominique Bauby (Mathieu Amalric), who wakes from a stroke-induced coma to find he is suffering from paralysis to most of his body. Driven to complete work on his memoirs, he laboriously spells it out letter by letter using only blinks of his eye.
Featuring a printed cover bearing the film's title artwork and credited to Ronald Harwood (screenplay), this script would have been used for awards consideration and is undated. The script contains 124 pages of unannotated script printed double-sided on A4-size paper. Lightly used with some minor wear, the script remains in very good condition.
