Barry Speck’s (Steve Carell) display carrying case from Jay Roach’s 2010 idiot buddy comedy, Dinner for Schmucks. In the film, a chance meeting between rising executive Tim (Paul Rudd) and mouse taxidermist Barry (Steve Carell) gives Tim the perfect guest to exploit at his boss’s annual gathering of depraved idiots.
This case can be screen matched to a shot from the scene where Barry decides to try to save his friendship and make a “mousterpiece” display of Tim and his girlfriend getting married. The case is made of light weight balsa wood that has been painted with orange and brown paint to resemble stained wood. The interior features two velvet lined panels with a small prop flower decoration glued to the lower display portion.
The case measures shows minor signs of wear and remains good production-used condition.
